What is Canva: A free-to-use online graphic design tool. Use it to create social media posts, presentations, posters, videos, logos and more.
Class goal: Learn how to navigate the platform to create stellar graphic design layouts ranging from post cards to social media posts to projection slides.
Classes will be held on the following Sundays from 2:15pm to 3:15pm in the main sanctuary:
Week 1 (May 7th, 2023) – Step Into the World of Canva
- Intro to Canva, its dashboard, tools and navigation panels
- Explain Free and Pro Versions
- Explore the How, What’s, When’s to use Canva
- Examine designs done in Canva from the past.
Week 2 (May 21st, 2023) – Create a Social Media Post
- Learn how to format your design for perspective social media platforms.
- Design an Invitation to your Family’s BBQ for the coming holiday weekend.
Week 3 (June 4th, 2023) – Lights! Camera!! Action!!!
- Learn how to use Canva’s video elements to create engaging animated videos.
- Design a simple opening* for a Title Background
Week 4 (July 9th, 2023) – S.P.E.A.C. (Spiritually Pulling Everyone Across Communication)
- Tell your story using all that you have learned over the past three classes
- Create a presentation slide, small video, or social media spotlight highlighting your creative mind and voice.
